CELEBRATE THE REOPENING OF GROUPER SEASON! JOIN US IN THE FLORIDA KEYS GROUPER TOURNAMENT! Here is what we’ve been waiting for. Those “Fat Cat” groupers have been laughing at us for the past 4 months. Now it’s our time. 7 Mile Marina & Captain Hook’s Marina & Dive Center have joined together to offer the first ever Florida Keys Grouper Tournament! If you are an angler or an underwater hunter, this is the tournament for you.
 


 
Calendar of Events Friday, April 30 Captain’s Meeting Time: 7:00PM 7 Mile Marina/Fat Buoyz Mile Marker 47.5 • Bayside Kick-Off Party with Live Music Saturday, May 1 Fish & Spear Day Weigh-in by 5:30PM at 7 Mile Marina/Fat Buoyz or Captain Hook’s Mile Marker 53 • Oceanside Saturday Evening, May 1 Awards Ceremony Time: 7:30PM at 7 Mile Marina/Fat Buoyz Celebration Party* with Live Music *The restaurant is offering a discounted rate of $10.95 per person for Cook-Your-Catch and encourages all tournament participants to bring their cleaned and filleted fish to have for dinner on Saturday.
Tournament Format This tournament includes both an Angler Division and a Spearfishing Division. Target species are red, black and gag groupers. The heaviest fish of each species in each division determines the winners, for a potential of six winners. First place winners only. Cash prizes will be determined based on the number of entrants. This is a Keyswide tournament.
